2009 Reunion
FEBRUARY 06 2009 --The date and location of the USS DALE reunion 2009 have been finalized. The Holiday Inn Charleston Riverview has been selected for Sunday August 30 through Thursday (checkout) September 4. The details are being worked out and should be complete soon, The dates and place are firm but there may be minor changes for the next few months. Keep in mind that this is early February and we are planning for an event over 7 months away in a very uncertain national time. The complete reunion package we are getting is going to provide an excellent reunion at a very reasonable price. Prices continue to fall every week and we are taking advantage of every cost savings we can find.
There will be a tour to Patriots Point with it's Aircraft Carrier and other ships to tour. We will have a family "read spouse" oriented tour, there are many to choose from and that decision will be made soon. The Holiday Inn will provide us with van transportation to downtown Charleston to what they call "museum mile" with many places of interest within walking distance of each other.
I should have a REUNION NEWSLETTER ready to mail very soon. Until then I wish everyone smooth seas and following winds.
